Scale issues with Fire Giants

The Fire Giant Forgepriest has one or two scaling problems... Shoe mentioned the problems inherent in the scaling process in a previous post (see my CDP page). However, Benimoto posted on maxminis.com a photo that illustrates the trouble with this particular mini:
Comments:
I hope that they get scale creep under control. People that like the game and the minis like the fact that the figures are in correct scale with one another. If they are in relative scale, then this can lead to fallout for DDM on a Mage Knight scale.

I think that since he is a forgepriest you kind of expect him to be somewhat bigger and bulkier than your average fire giant. I think that is the only way they can get away with it in this case. Lets just hope that we aren't going to be seeing anymore blacksmith's.

Giants should be GIANT, if a giant is not tall enough to step on a medium critter, it is too small. What you call scale creep, I call getting closer to the right size. Also do note that the priest was released after DDM 'large' switched from 40MM to 50MM, which basically necessitated some sale creep not to be wasting base size.
