GenCon bits and pieces

PatEllis remembers from GenCon:
We should expect to see rules for Aquatic figures, and maps.

They have recognized that the formulas, and starting points (what ever you want to call it...) for Dragon's are screwed up, and we can expect to see more powerful dragons in the future (more powerful for there point value...) WotC is going to be pushing Dragons next year.

They were still very mum about the Colossal figure. The only thing we COULD pin down was that it was being developed.

Epic Rares, despite my fears, are NOT any more rare than standard rare's (yep, you could get a case with 8 epic rares inside...).

Next year there will be an Epic Championship, likely to be held at GenCon, but not on Saturday or Sunday. (Too bad, seems like Winter Fantasy is fast becoming another DDM hotbed, they could have helped that by having it then...

R&D and Organized play are working together to streamline the process whereby Guy Fullerton's official clarifications are available on the WotC website to avoid any further rules disputes.

Planchett notes
It was mentioned that there will be lava in at least upcoming skirmish maps. No-one went into much detail, as it did seem to be a slip up.

I've said this a couple of times, but on the big pic of the War Drums Starter (IIRC) it lists "Orc Mauler" as a figure.
