Angelfire preview VI

At last, we see the mages that have been delayed two weeks (and even longer!)

* Archmage (rare; CG; 98 pts)
* Ogre Mage (rare; LE; 44 pts; commander)
* Dwarf Wizard (uncommon; LG; 21 pts)
Comments:
Archmage is CG?! WTF?! I mean why should CG get MORE blasting power?! Where's the love for like LG, CE or even LE?!

So completely right, and no one in CG will look back at this guy, as it just won't be able to fit very well in the way CG plays, archmage+FB is already 150pts...

I agree totally. Archmage should not be CG. I mean, where's the balance. Give it to LE...
LE's where spellcastin's at!

CG gets more blasting power because that's what CG does. Magic and ranged attacks. That's like asking why LG gets more heavily armored minis or why CE gets more big heavy-hitting monsters. There's a theme here.

Anyway, I'm just happy that LG and CE got some casters in this set. The dwarf and ogre mage look good. But CG will always get the best mages. Live with it.

I like it. The Archmage is teh sexay. The dwarf looks good, but the ogre mage is meh - not too great looking, but better than nothing I suppose.

Long live the CG badassedness!

I hate the Archmage class, but this mini looks so damn good, I'd use it just to look at it more often. As others said, the Dwarf looks good, but the Ogre Mage (a personal favorite) is a little disappointing. Oh well...
