Ian Richards of Organised Play on the Banning

A poster: Wizards should have spent time considering the matter.

Ian Richards:
You are 110 percent right. After many hours of debate and thought, counter point and discusion we made this decision, so we followed this policy 110 percent.

Secondly, OP bans miniatures R&D doesn't. We are both party to the talk and decision. R&D recommends and we discuss. OP recommends and we discuss. A miniature can be targeted by either division but no decision is made without express consent from both parties. Rob was the usual great guy and announced why at about the same time I was expressing it was about to happen and watch out for more information. Please don't shoot R&D for a unified decision. They just wanted to help clarify things.

Trust us when we say. We don't ban minis lightly and without hours of consideration and debate with all parties and possible solutions. Each solution has it's benefits and challenges. We've no other possible condidates for banning now of the forseeable future but will we do so again? Who knows what the future brings but be sure to understand we all do NOT want to ban miniatures and would rather have everyone playing with what we produce. Remember this also only affects sanctioned play and in no way affects casual play.

I'll try and pop back regularly and answer any and all questions.
