Upcoming Fantastic Locations

Amazon.com have the cover of Fantastic Locations: Dragondown Grotto up. This is the fourth of the Fantastic Locations series and is due out in July 2006; Fantastic Locations: Fields of Ruin is due out this month (April 11th according to Amazon).

Each of these products contains two double-sided poster maps (so four maps in all) and a short 16-page D&D adventure. Three or four of the maps are legal for D&D Miniatures Skirmish play - which means we're getting quite a few maps in the near future.

At present, there are 12 legal maps:
* Four from Fantastic Locations: Fane of the Drow
* Three from Fantastic Locations: Hellspike Prison
* One from Dragon Magazine
* Four from the D&D Miniatures Starter (War Drums release)

Ian Richards (RPGA Program manager) was asked recently about how many new maps were coming out. His response: "LOTS! And I mean LOTS... we have a great new one for the Championships PLUS maybe even a second for the finals but that is going to be a surprise if we do." (see thread)
