Charles Ryan Auction - Fiendish Iyrannosaurus

From Charles Ryan:
"This is one of the coolest items in my collection, and a real collector's item. At first glance, you might think this is a Huge Fiendish Tyrannosaurus from the D&D Miniatures Giants of Legend set. Actually, it's a prototype version of that miniature--a version produced by the factory in China for approval by the production and business teams back at WotC. This particular miniature was not approved in this version for two reasons: It was decided that it had more paint steps than necessary, and there's a typo in the base text! Compare this mini to the standard GoL Fiendish Tyrannosaurus, and you'll see that this one has a number of orange ""boils"" or welts on its flesh. In the production version, those boils are there, but they aren't painted orange--to save money, those extra paint steps were omitted from the production version. Even cooler, have a close look at the photo of the base text. It reads "Fiendish Iyrannosaurus"!" (auction link - all of Charles' auctions)
