More Winter Fantasy Revelations
From Benimoto:
One thing Wizards did mention at their presentation is that they're going to try to stabilize the release schedule after Angelfire. No more guessing release dates. Instead, future sets will be out in the first week of March, July and November.
They still haven't gotten the first week schedule down this year, though. The release date I got for Death Knell was the third week of March, and Angelfire will be out late in July. Too bad about Angelfire, since Origins is the first week of July.
Hmm, what else did I hear? As mentioned, the box art mock-up showed the Bullywug, Kenku, and it was confirmed the third figure was the Aspect of Nerull. Also, there is only one unique figure, which we already know is Rask. So no Mina or Guenhwyvar.
Tantalizingly, it was mentioned that LE is getting a figure that does about as much damage as the Ogre Ravager, and who is not the Skullcrusher Ogre or the Aspect of Nerull. I'm pretty curious about that.
From Citizen Fry:I asked Ian about the Gelatinous Cube. You know, since that other company with Wiz in the name has had clear plastic for a while. Anyway, he said that that situation was slightly different- they didn't have things suspended in their
clear plastic (!). He also said something to the effect of "wouldn't it be neat if it jiggled a little bit", but he was smirking at the time, so he may well have been kidding. We then went into a discussion of coloration...he said he didn't know what color the Cube should be, never having met one in real life (ha). I frivolously suggested that maybe the Cubes could come in a variety of colors, depending on what it had eaten recently, you know, maybe it's red if it just ate a dwarf, he said it could be blue if it had just eaten a Blue, everyone laughed, it was fun.I did ask Ian very briefly about the AT-AT for Star Wars, and he said some pretty glowing things about it, but it also sounded like it was a long way off (like, maybe not this year).
